InsightChef Pro V2.0 DIY Chef Training 4 of 7: Recipe to Plate—and Cocktails Cost reusable kitchen components, assemble the plate, and include the bar. Slide 1: Recipe Builder creates reusable components Recipe Builder creates reusable culinary components. That includes sauces, sides, breads, salads, appetizers, prepared proteins, and other preparations the kitchen makes. A grilled mahi recipe can hold the fish, butter, salt, pepper, rosemary, and lemon. The same recipe can then support one or many plated menu items. Slide 2: Cost the recipe with exact quantities and units Build the recipe from recognized ingredients. Enter the quantity and the kitchen unit the team actually uses, then set the recipe yield. Yield is essential: it turns total ingredient cost into a meaningful cost per portion. Recipe Save is available in this release, so a completed recipe can be stored and loaded again. Slide 3: Plate Builder assembles the sellable entrée Plate Builder assembles the sellable entrée from saved recipes and direct ingredients. The plate ID generates automatically, while the internal build record remains governed behind the scenes. Use Component Name as the search field, then choose the quantity and serving unit for each plate component. Slide 4: One plate can show the full culinary story A complete mahi entrée might combine grilled mahi with herb butter and lemon, four ounces of jasmine rice, four ounces of sautéed broccoli, two ounces of beurre blanc, and a parsley-and-lemon garnish. Each component keeps its own recipe logic, while Plate Builder shows the cost of the sellable plate. Slide 5: Cocktail Builder brings the bar into the same model Cocktail Builder extends the same discipline to the bar. Start from a verified cocktail template, select the actual stocked spirit or ingredient, and recalculate the drink. This keeps standardized beverage specifications, exact bottle choices, recipe costing, inventory, and menu intelligence connected to the same operational model.
