License & Terms of Use
Seller and product
InsightChef Pro is a brand of ChefsScale Pro LLC. DIY Chef is a protected, macro-enabled Microsoft Excel desktop package with documentation and prerecorded training resources. It is not a SaaS subscription.
License grant
Payment of $295 grants the named purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use one registered copy for the internal operations of one identified business location.
Permitted use for the licensed location
- Keep a recovery master and reasonable dated backup copies.
- Store or transfer a copy using purchaser-controlled storage or USB media.
- Move the workbook to a replacement or secondary computer controlled by the purchaser.
- Clear customer data and create a clean working copy for the same licensed location.
Separate license required
Every second or different operating location requires its own license and purchase, including locations under common ownership.
Prohibited conduct
- Sharing, forwarding, reselling, sublicensing, publishing, uploading or redistributing the package.
- Using a copy for another business location or purchaser.
- Removing purchaser/location identification, branding, license records, protection or notices.
- Attempting to extract or commercially reuse formulas, automation, training materials or other intellectual property outside the licensed workbook.
System and implementation requirements
Microsoft Excel desktop for Windows and enabled macros are required. DIY Chef is self-service. Migration, customization, live onboarding, individual implementation and ongoing managed services are not included unless purchased separately in writing.
Intellectual property
The purchase licenses use; it does not transfer ownership of InsightChef Pro, the workbook, formulas, automation, documentation, training, branding or related intellectual property.
No guaranteed outcome
The product supports operational and culinary decision-making but does not guarantee savings, profitability, compliance, business performance or any specific result. Users remain responsible for verifying inputs, formulas, reports, food-safety decisions, employment practices, taxes and business decisions.
Warranty and liability
Except as expressly required by applicable law, the product is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChefsScale Pro LLC disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Any direct liability will not exceed the amount paid for the applicable license.
Termination
The license terminates upon material breach, including unauthorized sharing or multi-location use. Termination does not remove payment obligations or intellectual-property restrictions.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
